Personal note: I'm sorry for being out all week. My baby came down with bronchiolitis and I have to stay home to take care of her. Miss you all......Mrs De Luna

History---The history test will be postponed because I have been out and can't help you get ready. We will reschedule it for next week.
Writing: We will writing a rough draft compare and contrast essay on Walk Two Moons. Use your Venn diagram notes to write an introduction (one paragraph) similarities (next paragraph) differences (third paragraph) conclusion ( last paragraph)
Spelling---work on spelling city---spelling test on Friday
Math---finish up topic 7,  The test is online, advanced students move to topic 10

Reading
Keep track of your books by writing it in your planner, write down the genre and how many minutes you read each night.

Math
1.     Monday—bring in sales ads from your home mail or newspaper (example---local grocery store, Target, CVS, etc.)
2.     Tuesday—Make a list of school supplies that are essential for 5th graders. How can we determine the total cost for all of these school supplies? What did you discover?
3.     Wednesday--Make a list of possible field trips that you would be interested in for our grade level.
4.          Thursday• What factors should be taken into consideration when deciding where to go on a field     trip?
• How can decimal computation help people make decisions?
• How can we determine to cost of the field trip?
• What would be the most expensive field trip/ the cheapest?  Why do you think so?
